The Periodic Table

INTRODUCTION  The cornerstone of chemistry which provides the logical and systematic framework for understanding the properties and behavior of elements is known as the Periodic Table. From over centuries, it is considered as a fundamental tool for scientists and researchers because of the tabular display of the elements which are organized by atomic number and recurring chemical properties. It is also a powerful tool which reveals relationships and patterns between elements. The early version of periodic table was developed by Dmitri Mendleev and since then it has been continuously evolved to the modern periodic table which reflects advances in our understanding of atomic structure and chemical properties.  The modern periodic table is arranged into rows which are called as periods and columns which are known as groups, with elements arranged in order of increasing atomic number. It also reflects the reccuring patterns of chemical properties which enable scientists...
