INTRODUCTION  As we know ,that the basic building blocks of life are the cells as they have the ability to grow and reproduce,however these processes requires energy to take place. The energy which cells need for survival is obtained from the food we eat,plants obtain it from sunlight,water and nutrients from the soil. The food we eat is converted into the form of energy known as Adenosine Triphosphate(ATP) which is also known as the energy currency of the cell and it is used to power several cellular processes such as muscle contraction, nerve impulses and biosynthesis.
