INTRODUCTION

WHAT IS SOLAR ENERGY?

Commercial Solar energy: This energy can be used to provide power to businesses for production of electricity for large-scale applications.
Utility-scale solar energy: This energy can be used to generate electricity for entire communities. 


SOLAR PANELS

The devices which converts sunlight into electricity are known as solar panels and they provide a clean and renewable source of energy. They are the most important component of solar energy systems and are used for providing power to homes,businesses and for other applications.

They work by converting sunlight into electricity by a process known as photovoltaic (PV) effect. This effect happens when sunlight hits a semiconductor material like silicon, which excites the electrons.  These excited electrons flow through a circuit and generate electricity.

Thin-film Solar panels: These panels are made up of a thin layer of photovoltaic material and are less efficient than Monocrystalline and Polycrystalline panels.

Solar panels constitutes different components, some of them are as follows:
Photovoltaic cells: These cells converts sunlight into electricity. 
Frame: The frame provides structural support and protection for the solar cells.
Backsheet: The backstreet provides additional protection and support for the solar cells.
Junction Box: The junction box connects the solar cells to the electrical circuit.
